How to Install a Steadfast Stopbar on Your Guitar

Installing the Steadfast Stopbar is quick and easy—no modifications to your guitar required. Follow these steps to upgrade your guitar in minutes.

Installation Procedure

Step 1: Remove your old strings and stopbar from the guitar.

Protip: Align the tuner post holes so they point to their respective nut groove.

Step 2: Run the string through the tuning post hole towards the nut, down the fretboard, then over the bridge and through the Steadfast Stopbar.

Step 3: Fully tighten the set screw with your hex driver (included).

Protip: Keep tension on the loose end of the string while setting the screw.

Step 4: Tune the guitar up to pitch. Pay attention to any drops in tuning. If needed, realign the tuning post hole, loosen the set screw, pull string tight again, and fully retighten the screw.

Protip: "Set the bend" at the headstock by giving the string a good squeeze.

Step 5: Bring string back up to pitch.

Step 6: Clip the excess string close to the stopbar using wire cutters.

Step 7: Get back to playing!
